if i change my ports that i am using for my RAID do i have to reformat ?

No, it doesn't matter which port it is, as long as both are in the correct ports for the RAID.

Say, if you have ports 1 and 2, it doesn't matter if you unplug the drives and swap ports....but not sure about 3 & 4....I only done 1 & 2.
