I just have no clue at this point (crossfired 7970's)

BSoD (0x00000116), driver just stops working and screen goes black, and constant crashing in BF3. I can't install the new drivers, they just don't work. Using the ones that came on the CD in order to actually be able to use my computer. Ran memtest and got no errors. Any suggestion or fire sale them and go green? The hardware is fine, it's just the damn drivers!

Are they the actual crossfire drivers? Because they are different to the normal drivers for single cards.

The drivers are universal for all setups. You just tick the box in Catalyst to enable crossfire

I used to get the 7E BSOD. You are probably getting the BSODs for a different reason, but I solved it by disabling ULPS using Sapphire TRIXX. 

 

Few Qs:

 

  1. How long have you had the cards?
  2. Overclocked at all? If so, are you using the unofficial overclocking via MSI?
  3. Did you wipe your drivers using this guide?

1. Since January

2. Yes, via Sapphire TriXX, only to 1123 CC and 1567 MC

3. Yes, about 40-50 times in the past 3 months

I had the screen go black as a result of unstable overclocking.

 

Does the same problem occur when you disable CF?

Yes, it stays and these clocks are fairly modest, and the errors occur even when it's stock clock.

Don't use 12.3/12.4 drivers in eyefinity. They are bugged. Use rc11, get em from the 7970 owners thread.
