Quick voltage safety question on 955 BE

Just OC'd my 955 BE to 4GHZ at 1.50V. It appears to be stable in prime95 and when at 1.475 volts(one under .50 in bios) it was not stable. All I did was change multiplier and the voltage. Is 1.50 voltages safe or good for a 4GHZ multiplier overclock? Thanks!

Also, getting a max of 65C during prime95 small FFTs. Is this too high for full load?

What cooling do you have i would say its safe underwater but your temps have to be pretty high at that voltage on air.

That should be a safe voltage. The max temp for the 955 is 62c so just watch your temps. My C3 955 is running at 4GHZ on 1.4v and temps don't go past 42c while playing games like bf3. My cpu-z validation is below for reference.

If I'm getting 65C during small FFTs does that mean this OC is too much and I need to tone it down? I HIGHLY doubt I will ever see 65C during a game. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

I don't think you would ever see temps in game as high as you would while running prime. But If it were me i would turn down the clock and voltage a little or get better cooling to handle the higher temps.

I stopped the stress test(no errors) and went to pretty much the only game I play, WoW. I'm getting a MAX of 55C on ultra. I think the OC is fine since I'm not near the max of 62C. Does this seem fine? First time OCing just making sure I'm not going to burn my house down. Using a GA-870A-UD3 mobo.

65C in prime is fine. 1.5v is a bit much for 4GHz but not all chips are equal.

I tried all the below options from normal vcore to this, it's the only one stable(1.4 to 1.5 going in .025 increments). Would 1.5v be unsafe as a permanent overclock or seriously decrease the lifespan?

You should be fine at 55c but your temps can still go up or down depending on your ambient room temp.
