Advice with my first build

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

This will be my first proper build and I would like some input onto my parts choices.
I have decided on these parts, plus I will be reusing 3 HDDs and 2 Disk Drives which I have from a computer I pulled apart.
631
50

What do you all think?
I will be using this rig for moderate gaming, School work and browsing. Plus I will possibly start programming again.

Thanks in advance for the help

Looks good, maby a little more ram wouldn't hurt but other than that my only other recommendation would be a ssd! good luck! thumb.gif

I would get a different case that already has more fans such as the Antec 300.

Then give the fan controller and extra fans a miss and get a better GPU instead like a 7770. im not sure what you meant by moderate gaming but The 430 you selected is very underpowered.

Thanks both of you smile.gif

More RAM will come after I have finished building, As will an SSD, but unfortunately I dont have lots of money at any one time frown.gif

DIhartenll, I chose the TT because of its price, and half decent looks. Like I said above, I dont have alot of money to spend on this, What my total is up there is my budget. If I take off the fans, controller and the case I have $170 at most for a case, So Ill see what other cases I can find for that. If you want the take a look aswell, I am using mwave.com.au

I would say upgrade your gpu to a gtx 560, gtx 560 ti, or a amd 6870/6850. Just because it would give you quite a bit more gpu power and last a lot longer than a gt 430.

Just my thoughts.

Didnt realise you were in Aus. explains the location "Somewhere full of spiders"

What I meant was change to a different case that has better airflow, not buy the fan controller and additional fans so you could put the savings into the GPU. I'll take a look at mwave and see what else is there.

Ah, Ok. I want to split the savings, get a better case, something with wire managment and also get a better GPU
