Need help on Paracord sleeving

Hey guys,

Got a few questions I'd like some advice on before I make any purchases...

I'm buying a new modular 750w psu. So I figure its time to resleeve the new PSU and possibly get some color in the case. That's up for you guys to give me some advice about.

Here's what my case kinda looks like now. I have a GTX580 in it now so its a little different.

here's my 580:
450

There's no blue fan blowing on the card anymore. The blower fan from the gfx card does that now...

So in light of having blue LEDs in my case I'm wondering about some colors...
Should I just go straight black on the sleeving or here's a few of my choices...

1. Keep all the sleeving black
2. Since I'll probably stick to Nvidia unless something huge happens..lol I'm considering doing a black/green sleeving to the 6+8pin power connectors to the gfx card. That won't look too bad with blue LEDs?

I'm also considering getting some more acrylic and covering up some other areas in my case that seem...empty... Like where the HDD and optical drive bays used to be. Seems it'd look alot better as far as cable management too...

Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

Only your opinion ultimately matters, and everyone's will be different, but here is mine anyway. smile.gif

1. All black never looks bad....but it does look a little boring.
2. Black/green/blue? eh.

I think you you should do a three color PSU sleeving, with some white, UV blue, and black.

Post pics of what you end up doing!

I went ahead and got grey and black paracord. I'll have to do some research on how to sleeve with paracord. I wonder if you can do heatshrinkless sleeving with paracord...

Hey guys. Does anyone have experience with non heatshrink sleeving paracord????? Can someone point me in the right direction to a guide if there's one out there... What does everyone do for heatshrinkless paracord?

I think as far as going "shrinkless" you still want to use a little bit of shrnk.

For colors I like all black, and/or a small variation of like dark grey or lighter grey. But one thing that makes it or breaks it for me is:
1. How well the sleeving is done.
2. How well that same sleeving is routed/organized.

Good luck! I can't wait to see how it turns out!

I tried doing shrink-less... It didn't work well for me and I didn't like the results. I found a video on YouTube with just a quick search for "paracord sleeving guide" when i was looking to do it. I don't have time to look it up now, but just do a quick search and you will find something. As for a general guide for sleeving with paracord, there is just one thing to remember:
Paracord SNAGS LIKE A *****!!! A piece of t ape over the ends of the wires will help you avoid major waste and frustration.

Just make sure to take your time and not rush it. If you start getting frustrated/tired take a break because it is so easy to mess up and have to start over.

That's the video I'm going to go off of. Looks legit and I'll give it a try next week when I'm home after graduating!

Can't wait for good results!
