Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 crashes on 3DMark 11

Thread Starter
Hi,
I recently facing a problem.
When I launch CPUz, 3DMark 11 and 3DMark Vantage, a blank blue, light blue or white screen is shown and keeps showing there. Nothing happens if I press ctr+alt+del
But I can run Unigen Heaven Benchmark successfully and scored 545.

I am using 12.3 catalyst.
My rig:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
MSI 890GXM-G65
G.skill Sniper 8GB 1866MHz
Corsair Force 3 SSD 60GB

The problem became even worse after reinstalling windows 7.

Is the card at stock clocks? If so, return the card for a replacement. smile.gif

But I can play BF3 and other games without any problem.
So I don't think they would RMA it for just benchmarking softs.

Why would it happen with CPU-z though?
Maybe it's like the GTX680 red screen of death issue, where it tries to access the card's BIOS incorrectly?

So what should I do now?

I would get in contact with Sapphire..
I have a Sapphire OC HD 7750 and this same thing started to happen. Even with old games like UT2004, after a min of playing, the game start to shutters then it finally crashes back to desktop, with and icon in the systray telling me that the drivers crashed. Tried to contact those idiots but no answer, they do sent me some monthly spam however.

A quick google search shows a lot of people complaining about this too, so its not you and me.

A workaround would be setting the memory/processor clock back to 7750 default specs, that would be

800 Mhz GPU clock
1125mhz memory clock

You have to do this in Catalyst control center > AMD OverDrive.

sapphire is selling a completely faulty product, an untested graphics card with unstable overclock values, that is what the Sapphire HD 7750 OC version is.

I warned all my friends and clients not to buy any kind of video card from those taiwanese scammers.
