[BI]Windows Phone to beat Android - Page 2

I have fallen in love with the Android OS, I just like it better for some reason. Perhaps all the features and apps it has. I know that I use perhaps 80% of all google apps that come stock on the phone and that are on market place. No need to buy any since google has done it already.

My wife seems to like Android as well. She did not like the iOS or Windows phone, she is not even tech savy, I guess she like simplicity.

Hopefully those Windows Phones will get the Tegra 3 hardware like the HTC One X just got.

Windows is beating linux in the desktop market. Just because it's better, that doesn't mean it's what the masses want. Then again android is already dominating the phone/tablet market, so we'll see later on how Windows fares I guess.

Pick up an Android phone from HTC, Motorola, or Samsung and you end up with experiences that are similar but also not completely alike. In its attempt at domination, Google has focused on the guts of the software but not on how individuals work with it.

Again, it was inevitable...      Android was a fad...

Clearly the ability to run across a range of hardware is the problem. Thats why windows on pc has been such a failure

they came into it to late in my opinion, they would of had a chance when windows mobile 7 came out if they pushed it, but there was like a year and a half of not hearing anything about windows phone until the mango update started floating around, but like you said we will see what happens.

Thus anyone can run Android on any hardware, you name it, creating non optimized handsets that cripple user experience, leavign them with a sour taste in their mouth,

You also need to quantify "beat" as user satisfaction, polish, and integration, WP7 already beats Android. Diversity is the only place its lacking.

Also, Windows CE supports all of the instruction sets Android does(ARM, MIPS, x86).

Personally, I'll take support and adaptation over open-source any day which people tend to correlate as being "Free."
