A-Data Ram,,just ram chat.

Thread Starter
Am I the only one here that has and uses this brand of ram ?
Just wondering.
Yes I'm sure that that the big favourites like OCZ,crucial, corsair, kingston
are perfectly good ram,,but for some reason i never see a-data mentioned,
pro or con,it seems.
Brief report:
I've been using 2 1gig sticks [pc3200 that come with red heatsinks]for a year and have had no problems whatsoever related to the ram.
Told ya it was brief.

I Have noticed however that the price of ram has really shot up at newegg.
not just for the a-data brand,,but all of them.
i paid about $75 each, for these ram sticks about a year ago,,now the same product is going for $110. anyone else notice this?

bummer they have been raising the prices on all there ram for quit a while, some of the value ram can do really good depending on what chips they have, guys have gooten bh5 chips and oced the crap out of them, i think team is usually the better of the cheaper ram becasue they still use high quality chips and a good fabrication of there ram not sure about those guys though

to answer your question, ram is ram if your staying stock. if your ocing, ocz, gskill, corsair are generally liked.

I recall a member with A-Data that did well OCing it. It all depends on the ICs used.
Try an A-Data search in the AMD section.

Nobody uses it, cause it's probably not well known to overclock.

We buy QUALITY ram...cause it gets us to insane speeds with nice latencies to match.

Also, ram prices have increased, because the cost of the ICs is going up.
