need advice, i'm planning on upgrading my cooling (1090T) - Page 3

are you using the stock fan for your h50 if so i would try a quiter one and put it running 100% 24/7
i use nf-p12s on my h100 in push pull exaust and akasa apache fans push pull exhaust on my 6950
the apache and noctuas are on 100% and a silent as hell.

also a refesh in thermal paste is always a good idea and see if the mount is tight

what are your temps now

i would maybe say 2 of these in push pull you can run them 100% as im persuming your h50 fan isnt on 100% as its like a get turbine.
is your h50 fan header running at 100% also and are you reading cpu or core temps.
download a trial of everest and scrrenshot me:
the sensor page (full scrren so i can see voltages)
the overclock page to show me speeds ect

i think it's running at 100%

i used speedfan and it already said 100%

but i don't know how to get my side-case fan to run, i'm sure that would help a lot. i have the fan just it doesn't run i don't remember why

the wire coming out of the case fan connects to a plug that isn't plugged in itself, since i have extremely little knowledge regarding hardware configuration i don't know where to even start. damn now i have to figure it out, i won't be able to get it out of my head haha

at least i have one there heh

the plug it's connected to is tightly bounded by one of those plastic straps (hah i don't even know what they're called)

i have a feeling it's locked in there for a reason.. so curious

i have no idea, i checked and the psu doesn't seem to have valid slots.

but the fan has a wire with a brown end, inside another wire with a white end-connector, which is then connected to a 4pin white plug

could it be possible that it's disabled somewhere in software?

just another question, how many degree's would the case fan shave off, if running?

Alot. You need airflow over the motherboard to cool the components, especially with a H50 because there is no fan on the CPU socket. If your side fan has a 4 pin connector that needs to be plugged into a 4 pin molex connector on the PSU.
