geek hack? - Page 9

Luckily all my wikis, Ripster Guides, mods, reviews, pics and Ducky jokes are triple backed up.

Geekhack's uptime has NEVER been it's strong point.

I should let everyone know, when Geekhack first went down I just kind of stared at the page for awhile before figuring they were hacked and moving on. That same day I traded in my GPU for another, and my PC was offline without a GPU for a month. What does this have to do with Geekhack?

What it has to do is that when I DID get my new GPU and booted back up, my avast! was constantly going off, blocking certain things within my PC. Turns out, I had been infected with the ZeroAccess rootkit, but had shut down before I noticed. Took me two days to completely clear it out from both my drives. Was an absolute nightmare.

Because of that, I'm staying completely clear of GH until I know, without a shadow of a doubt, they're secure, and suggest others do as well. Sucks, I was looking to maybe sell my Omnikey and AT101W sometime soon.

Conservative estimation at the moment is sometime around the 17th/18th for full functionality. We might get provisional functionality in bursts without any guarantee of persistence (ie, the forum may disappear with data loss at any moment) as early as next monday.

And Remember, SAFE Never Sleeps At Geekhack But Takes Frequent NAPS!

Woohoo. ANY day now!

Oops. Maybe not.

I wonder what the problem is this time...

Every time I ask why GH went down the admins never give me a decent answer.

Oh, and nice GIF btw...

The second one is a straight screen capture.

Took me days to clean the trojan off my networked pcs.

Not sure why anyone would go to that site? The only way I check out those forums is through Tapatalk on an Android device.
