Youtube videos still lag with a 560 ti

Hey everybody. I've created a thread for this before, but I never got a solution that worked. I've tried a bunch of stuff, including completely uninstalling my Nvidia drivers and reinstalling them. Basically, whenever i try to watch youtube videos above 480p, or on full-screen, I get stuttering. Like you know bad stuttering in a video game? I get that. I cannot watch 720p videos or above on youtube, it sucks. It's weird, because my graphics card should be able to handle youtube videos. tongue.gif

My specs are:

AMD Phenom II 955 3.4 Ghz Quad-core Processor
4 GB of DDR2 RAM at 400 mhz
GTX 560 ti 1 GB
Windows 7 64-bit
Google Chrome as my browser

Has anyone else had any issues like this?

EDIT: It's worth noting I've had this issue since I replaced my HD 4870. Could there still be lingering AMD driver files causing issues?

Have you tried disabling HWA (hardware acceleration)?

Right click the video on YT > options > uncheck enable HWA

Silly question but its not buffering?

If you set your DNS to Google DNS or OpenDNS, they have some tech that will make Youtube use the closest CDN (server), I've noticed much less buffering since that change.

It's not an issue with buffering. It happens to fully loaded videos. And yes, I have tried disabling hardware acceleration, it does nothing.

This seems quite strange, and through googling I've found nobody else with the same issue as me. I hope I can fix it.

Could be a driver issue, have you tried a reinstall of drivers?

Any other ideas? I'm getting desperate here!

I wonder if reformatting could solve it. I know that's crazy, and I'm not actually going to do that, but I'm just hypothesizing...

There are an incredible amount of variables to lagging Flash videos. Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest version of Flash?

Before you do that, try using a different browser. Also reinstall flash like E-Peen suggested.
