Hello overclock.net, I'm a hardware newb that has been interested in the software side of computers for a while and has just recently gotten interested in the hardware side biggrin.gif I enjoy programming, gaming on my PC, and other nerd-related things smile.gif

Current setup:
  • Motherboard: ASRock 970Extreme 3 970 AMD AM3+
  • CPU: Phenom II X4 970 BE (overclocked to 4.0GHz)
  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus w/ Arctic Cooling MX-4 thermal paste
  • GPU: PowerColor 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6770
  • RAM: G.SKILL Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
  • HDD: 1TB 7200rpm Hitachi HDD
  • Power Supply: OCZ ZS Series 650W
  • Case: Cooler Master Haf 932
  • Keyboard: Microsoft Sidewinder X4
  • Mouse: Cooler Master CM Storm Spawn
  • Monitor: acer 21in 1080p (max 1920x1080)

Anyways welcome to OCN, you can post your rig details so that everyone can see them by going to "My Profile" - located at the top left of the page, once you have clicked that and the page loads you can scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on "Create a new rig" , and you can enter in your rig details there.

Nice smile.gif glad to see another programmer. I've worked with C/C++/Obj-C but my main (and first) language is Java thumb.gif

ewww Java tongue.gif jk but its not my favorite rolleyes.gif spent more time with C# than Java, mostly worked with Swing, hard coding GUI which, I didn't like biggrin.gif

Ya, Swing is certainly not the best GUI API out there x)
