Possible Busted PCI Slot?

I pushed the little tab and pulled out GPU 1 and then forgot to push the little tab before yanking out GPU 2. Yes, I know, huge mistake. I think I actually broke the slot because now no card is being read by Device Manager, GPU-Z, etc. in Slot 2. The little clip flips back and forth now and isn't broken off. I took a flashlight and checked inside the slot and I don't see any damage. I don't think the clip is working properly. The cards sit right into the slot, but aren't being read.

The one I broke is below. It is real loose but seems to work. Any suggestions or do I need to get a new MB now?

Ouch, I don't think things like this fall under the warranty for replacement, so you're probably going to end up shipping it to Asus and having to pay for repairs.

The clip itself is just there to hold a card in place.
Have you tried pushing a card in there, screwing it in on the PCI bracket, and seeing if it stays?
Or maybe while it's on, keep a finger on it to keep it 'stable', maybe with some anti-static bags and whatnot.

That should do the trick.
If not, send it in and see what they can do for ya.

EDIT: Try another working card (say GPU1, the top one) in the second slot and see if the same thing.
Or tyr both GPUs in the first working slot to make sure those are working.

GPU 1 in slot 1 is ok
GPU 2 in slot 1 is ok

GPU 1 in slot 2 not recognized
GPU 2 in slot 2 not recognized

The cards go right in and the clip still kind of works but the slot seems dead. I even used a flashlight and I can't seem to find any damage.

Have a feeling one of the solder points may have been ripped off, so it's not making contact anymore.
RMA it if you're able to?

From what I have heard, and now understand, the damage I did is not covered under warranty and would cost me over $100 to fix plus shipping costs. My brother needs a motherboard and he will only run 1 card, so it looks like he is getting a new Sabertooth P67!
