[BBC] Intel launches Ivybridge - Page 5

This claims the release date was moved up, some people just don't know about it:
http://www.techpowerup.com/164061/Intel-to-Bring-Ivy-Bridge-Launch-Forward-to-April-23-Report.html

A quick google results in many other sites claiming the same:
http://www.slashgear.com/ivy-bridge-tipped-for-april-23rd-launch-12222610/
http://www.bgr.com/2012/04/12/intel-may-launch-ivy-bridge-processors-on-april-23rd/
http://www.itproportal.com/2012/04/12/ivy-bridge-expected-april-23rd-says-leak/
http://www.ubergizmo.com/2012/04/intels-ivy-bridge-expected-to-be-announced-23rd-april-rumor/

If it's not the 23rd, i'm going to be sad.. I was expecting to do my build tomorrow after overnighting it. Wanted to get everything up and running for GW2 beta this weekend. 29th is a Sunday, seems like an odd day to release a processor, many sites aren't staffed on Sundays.

Also, comparing Intel's budget to AMD's and only coming up with "almost double" of crap is laughable.
So, how about no?

I did not miss that, I never said that I didn't know.

He made the comparison between A8-3870K and i7 3770, not me.

Jeez, is it impossible these days for people to reply to a post without that condescending judgemental tone...

Since the BBC, Engdaget, and any other website like that is press-related that posts news, we'd call it an embargo. Perhaps it's different in the states.

No, we call it the same in the states. If that troll knew anything, intel themselves calls it an embargo.

I'm not saying you're wrong but I remember NDA lifting on the 3rd of January, and retail going live on the 9th.

Anyone forsee any games utilizing HT?

Multi core programs are actually tedious to code and optimize, not sure if games will head in that direction anytime soon.

Yes, I am asking if anyone could see into the future? tongue.gif
