HIGHLY recommend adblock plus, but... using it takes away revenue from sites like Overclock.net because you're not viewing and clicking on their ads (I just hate popups)
No Script is a good add-on, if you use it correctly you'll NEVER get a virus smile.gif

Its really easy to set site-specific rules in ABP
I also used to be a fan of noscript, however now I feel that chrome is secure enough, and I find the web more enjoyable not having to deal with scripts on every new page i visit. To each his own though, not saying its a bad plugin.

Grooveshark intergration looks neat, I'll check this out, thanks.

Since I'm lazy and I don't feel like rewriting the entire thing this is a post I made on Reddit a while back that has what I consider to be a lot of awesome free software for different uses. It's definitely missing some essentials, but I think it pretty well covers a ton of great free software out there.

Core Temp
Displays your CPU cores temp, and other handy information. Will also shutdown your computer if your processor gets too hot. I like having my computer on a lot, and if I'm not there while my CPU is burning up (which I hope never happens), I want something else to protect my computer.
