Origin is still a Beta.

But really, all add-in software can burn in hell.

Well I for one am pretty pissed that I was forced to buy BF3 on Origin. Sure I have a bunch of games on the service but I much rather would have bought the games on Steam.

Not to mention half of my friends won't buy the game because it's not on Steam, which means half the time I'm playing the game alone.

Even now I don't plan to purchase any more games on the service for a variety of reasons.

Same here, I ended up waiting to buy BF3 until it was on sale for $25, but it would have been a day 1 purchase from me if it had been on Steam or even just a hard copy without Steam. To this day 95% of all crashes or errors I get from BF3 (Which are pretty frequent.) are cause by either Origin or the Battlelog. I think the main reason why so many people are resistant to Origin is because we already have hundreds of games on Steam and don't want to buy game that wont be added into our existing collection or switch to a service that doesn't have our current collection.

Actually the hardcore people who've hated DRM in the form of clients like Steam have kept it up since day one. The general 'hating' on Steam didn't last more than about a year, maybe 18 months. People just accepted it, especially with CS:S on it's way.

I dont see what all the complaining is about, im guessing its because i dont use all the extra features in both steam and origin but for me there just game launch applications, they both work fine for me, double click icon and im up and playing, dont see what all the fuss is about.

Origin friend list limit is 100. Steam friend list limit is 300. They likely add a limit for the stability of the application.

Thanks, I really needed Gabe Newell to tell me that. In other news, Justin Bieber says that 1 + 1 = 2.

Hey, new song idea. I want my royalties.
