This is what I just sent to Apple, They sent me a survey questionaire..

Question: Have anything to add?

" Yes, make it cheaper. You guys can do it... But you are greedy.. Remember when Microsoft gave you 150 million to pull you out of bankruptcy? I do, and since then, you've been moving at a great speed. But if you make a huge price drop, I bet you'll get every American to have one, and that is the intent.. You need to include, your entire line of products.. Hey, I'm an IT professional, why would you even read this feedback, let alone actually doing it..? But you never know... The new iPad should be 16 gig, $299, 32 gig, $399, and the 64gig $499, with 4gLTE add another $49. 16gig LTE, $349, 32gig LTE $449, and 64gig LTE $549. These are the prices it should be, and I bet you that your stock shares would go up, and since our economy stinks, why don't you give us hard working Americans a break for a change? Call it, Apples "Stimulus" package. Do this for a year.. If people can't afford it, then nothing changes, however I bet I'm right, it will work. What's better; selling only a 1000 units a month or 4000 at a lower price point? You need to do this... Because of right now, I'm returning my iPad, because $729 is just too much for a 32gig 4gLTE device.. I also got the 2 year protection plan.. so it came out to $899.42. However, if you lower your prices, I'm going back to get it again, and then my plan will be working... I really hope you read this feedback... I'm 44, a married father of 2... Take care... - Joe"

Wasn't the iPad 2 the fastest selling electronic device when it was released? Aren't they pegged to be valued at a trillion dollars soon? Yea, I'm pretty sure they're confident with their pricing right now.

Companies charge what consumers will pay, not what the product is worth. It seems greedy until you see the other side, when you actually work for a tech company and your paycheck depends on it. From the business perspective, if people are willing to pay that much why not charge that much? To the businesses the consumers appear greedy for trying to pay as little as possible. I'm sure they have an entire department that does the number crunching to predict how many sales they'll get at a certain price point, then adjust the price point to see how total income changes.

Not that I'm meaning to defend overpriced Apple products...just trying to add some perspective. In many cases the consumer is just as greedy as the company he buys from.
