AfterEffects, Premier and Soundbooth CS5.5 make the suite and alone are worth $2500+ change imo.

Yup, my friend was interning at a few small studios that did commercials and other videos. They were going to get paid $100,00 for a 45 second commercial for Crest I think it was.

Most of it was on Avid, but some was still done on Adobe software. A small price to pay.

I use CS5 on a professional basis and also a personal basis. I just buy the upgrade package if I can. It'll take me a project to a project in a half to recoup the costs. I can see why people moan and groan about the price if they use it for whatever.

To those who choose to pirate this software, I can see their bias towards it's devaluation. It is more than worth the price Adobe currently charges for it, and frankly, this new per month system makes small studio funding much more attainable. $50/month for commercial use of this software is a steal.

For people in the media creation biz this is one of the best deals out there. It is actually a suite of more than a dozen apps that cover everything from website development to special fx for Hollywood films.

For the serious pro $50 a mo is a laugh. They will make that back in about an hour. For a serious hobbyist $50 a mo is still pretty good. My dad spends $200 a mo in green fees as a golfer. He doesn't get to play free because he isn't a pro.

For those who have no clue what CS6 does... yeah I guess it sems like a lot to pay.

This is indeed a great move by Adobe, now smaller businesses can become more competitive.

Off Topic: Just noticed Fox News has "Fair and Balanced" under their logo lachen.gif

sigh adobe always with the expensive software, though they are extremly useful. I just wish they would bring down the pricing a few notches for the average consumer, on the same note I just wish auto cad can do the same with their bundles.

Photoshop Elements is fine for the average consumer.

Adobe has Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements both of which are under $100. Everything else they make is not intended for average consumers.
