help trace of thermal paste on the pin side of processor

so when i open my processor i found that there is some trace of thermal paste on the pin side, is that okay?
or i have to clean it up before place it again.
and can i use a tissue to clean the thermal paste? or else.

Best bet..spray bottle + alcohol..put nozzle right up next to it..let evaporate thoroughly before installation.

Happened to me once. I dabbed it lightly with a Kleenex and a tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol, let it dry and it was good as new in no time.

You should use something lint free. Also, try to use alcohol with a high concentration if you can, better for the proc.
