Evaluation of water cooling setup, Part II

Hi again biggrin.gif

so, am few clicks away from my first WC system. Main goal is: Maximum cooling and reliability.

here's what am thinking:

Its all going to be in a TJ07. 360 on top, 480 in the buttom.

Loop order: Res->pumps->cpu->360 rad->gpus->480 rad->res

am planning to add a 4th gpu in the near future (the dual pumps). For that reason, am getting a second psu of 850 W. Am thinking of letting it take care of the water system.

so... watercooling pros, what do you think? smile.gif

With 2 pumps and 2 GTX, I'd say you don't care about noise level so getting 38mm high rpm Delta fans might help unleash the potential of those rads better.
I don't care much about noise myself but honestly, you'll be sitting next to a jet reactor smile.gif

What's your CPU waterblock ?

Not 100%, but I hear the XSPC tubing isn't that great.
Primochill is usual the recommended brand.

Deltas can absolutely be worse than three stock 7970 fans... tongue.gif Still though, I'd agree with some 38mm fans to make the best use of the GTX radiators, if noise isn't a serious concern. Something like San Ace H1011's are great without being ridiculously loud, or you can go with faster Panflo or Delta fans if noise isn't a concern at all.

well, i meant that the dual pumps and the rads can't be worse than the stock 7970 fans? tongue.gif
...and tbh, the reason i picked those fans is their rated cfm and their looks... white/black.
the San Ace H1011 can do 102.5 cfm, and those am looking at does 96 cfm. for me, a noob in this field, is not much of a difference?

It could be if you want the best performance, which means running the fans at high speed.
Take a look at Martin's review where he says that the GTX's true potential can be achieved with high speed fans

I was about to get an EK Supreme HF Full EN Nickel myself but ultimately decided against it since their issues with nickel plating (even in the EN version) don't seem entirely resolved.
I'd go with their full copper version or check other brands (watercool, aquacomputer etc)

Yes, I agree... the gtx will perform at its best with ultra high speed fans. thats why i picked them. but Gauvi, the fans in the op are not low noise/rpm fans? they may not be the fastest, but 96 cfm @2600 rpm is quite ok? or am i too stupid to understand? :/
am affraid it will be too noisy.. i know i said maximum cooling, but a little noise consideration must be taken into account, just a little tongue.gif

Well, with radiators static pressure also plays a large role, as the radiator is a restriction in the airflow. The more static pressure, the more airflow you'll actually see on a radiator, as you'll never get the open-air ratings. I don't know the static pressure on the NZXT fans, but I do know that the H1011's have over twice the pressure of Gentle Typhoon AP-15s, which translates directly to more airflow over the rad. I'd be curious as to how accurate the ratings are on the NZXT fans, also... I know San Ace's ratings are dead on, but some manufacturers tend to overstate their airflow and understate the volume.
