They only place I see a use for this is in a fully submerged mineral-oil cooled pc. A heat sink like this would be good at spreading the heat out in that situation.

But really how many people have their system sitting in oil?rolleyes.gif

Just for kicks I checked on this. You are 100% correct. Pure copper is close 386, copper alloy is 388, silver 418. Most surprising was gold @ 318... Conductivity= W/m-C

No fan, it will be. You have to have a fan to move air.

The engineers have tried it on every computer part there is, all fail. Its good for repairs and selling parts.

Doesn't looks that great imo, a good heatsink + a 600rpm 120mm fan looks much better and almost as silence as this over-sized piece of copper.
