oh the sg05 i was looking at the 300w version, didnt realize there was a 450. but with the 2600k and the 7970 im mocking up for my build the psu calc im using says i need 550w. so i dont think the sg05 would work for me.

550W is overrated, because a lot of people own ****ty overrated power supplies. Also, I don't think any 7970 will fit in the SG05.

a quality PSU can actually deliver on the rated wattage rating on a continuous basis. as far as how much load your system actually draws... 7970 = 210 watt card, 2600k = 95 watt chip, everything else you can actually fit inside an ITX box = 50 watts. that gives you a total max load of 355watts. on a 450w quality PSU, that leaves you with a 95watt headroom for SERIOUS overclocking... and that's assuming you'd even hit the max theoretical load with synthetic benches... no gaming load ever use 100% theoretical power load of the entire system....

now that we have the correct information to work with... SG08 4tw because it fits any length vid card currently on the market and you'll never have to worry about power for that 690GTX or HD7990 card tongue.gif

I just picked up a Q08 for $90 off Newegg. I also have a 80+ Plat PSU, which I probably paid around $120-130 for. Overall, the Q08 + extremely efficient PSU cost only slightly more than the SG08. The trade off is that I have a bigger (yet lighter) setup.

I have the LZP-550. Not sure if I recommend it though. If I had to buy another power supply, I'd get the EA-450.

Curious what you didn't like about the LZP-550?

i would never take an antec over a kingwin biggrin.gif the kingwin in question is very well reviewed and most antec are borderline junk. if you were comparing the kingwin to a seasonic X or a corsair AX, then maybe it's a toss up. but not vs an antec biggrin.gif

I cam here after a google search for some info on the Q08. Ended up ordering the sg08. One little problem though, my cpu cooler. I have the ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT. And from what I can tell the sg08 says it has a limit of 117mm for height on the cooler... and my (brand new) Zalman is 125mm.

Am I SOL, any of you guys that have this case have opinions/info?

If I am SOL, what do you recommend?

I have an Ivy bridge 3770K that will be going in along with an SSD and (eventually) a 7 series Radeon. I don't intend on OC'ng this rig.

Thanks for any help you can share!
