I have to say that I'm absolutely FLOORED by this.

It was done by installing the ES card into a current Alienware M17x R3 Laptop via modifying the heatsink and using a modified driver. States the temps are no higher than 68*C in Furmark.

Haha.. good. AMD needs this after the GTX 680 showed up. With those temps on top of that output, I don't think the GTX 680M stands a chance.

That's pretty insane! My old HD 6870 couldn't break 3.5k on 3DMark11.

Just imagine if they could fit one of these into a 13.3-14" form factor system. My life would be complete.

Yeah I didn 't catch the temperature. Man that's almost unreal. Great temp and amazing score. That's like legit desktop level GPU speed.

First time ever I've been impressed with a laptop GPU. You could max most games with it.

Wow. Those temps in Furmark are absurd. My 570m would hit 75c in GAMES at stock clocks.

Looks like my next Sager will have a 7970M in it. Especially considering the 680M will probably be like $400 more than the 7970M.

How are AMD's mobile drivers?

Also, when they say modified heatsink I'm wondering what the person modified? Just to make it fit or to make it run cooler.
