I played with the ATT One X today

Overall... its alright..but I have some major problems with it...

Screen: The screen is gorgeous, its every bit as good as billed, It does indeed look like an applique on the front of the phone, So kudos for that

Size/Build: Was great, felt nice in my hand and was easy to type one handed with, Felt solid and well made, Definitely a first class device feel

Speed: it ran rather quick when i played with it, no lag on the screens or anything when i sat and was using it, and the browser was decently-quick (The in-store Wi-Fi was kinda crap though)

Now for the bad:

My first huge concern with it, its only a 16gb device and i was really worried about how much would be available, Well heres the bad news, apparently, it only has 9.8gb available to the user on the device, 2.21gb of the phones total possible capacity is chewed up by whatever they had installed on the thing..according to the Storage app, only 100mb of this was Apps... Now the nice person at the store double checked and said they SHOULD have about 13gb or so on them available when they ship, But this was NOT true on the one in the store (And another reviewer who played with one here http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-x/169101-att-version-hands.html#post1723321 noted the same things)

My second huge concern was the browsing experience felt "glitchy" it refused to play flash videos at all, I went over to the Samsung Galaxy Note, and the Skyrocket and both played the same stuff just fine, But the One X had nothing to do with it, Probubly fixable with a third party broswer like Dolphin, but I give this a minus because the Samsungs did it fine and the One X did -not- do so

The other thing that was kinda annoying is they had Pandora loaded on there, but it didnt work at all, They said its because its a Demo unit, But it looked like other people HAD used it just fine before but this time it just wasnt working, Kinda annoying as I wanted to see if the Beats audio junk was actually worth it

Basically my impression was it was a nice device but it has flaws.... it didnt feel polished or finished, nor anywhere as fast as it should have....which is disappointing as this is an Android 4.0 device, and the Samsungs felt just as spry running 2.3 on slower hardware, The Samsungs I played with also just seemed to "work" better, whereas the One X felt "glitchy" and not as refined... Which is sad, Because as i said, this is supposed to be the latest and greatest... but it really didnt feel that way

I didnt mess with the camera because TBH i dont care too much about the camera, Sorry guys frown.gif

Guess im really back to square one here

The US One X has 16gb of storage, an S4 dual core and LTE, the international one has the Tegra 3 and 32gb

Not sure why it was so glitchy and stuff, Can you go to thatguywiththeglasses.com and play any of the videos on the site on your One X?
