DJ/Music/Video editing build help

Hey everyone, a buddy of mine asked me to build him a rig. He's going to be using music programs/video editing/DJ. What specs would do the job well for relatively cheap? We don't need anything over the top, just something to do the job nicely. and are lookin' to spend under $500 (idealy around $450. OS, monitor, mouse and keyboard aren't needed). I was thinking somewhere along the lines of:

Apevia Trooper JR mid tower
BIOSTAR A55MLV FM1 motherboard
4GB Crucial 1333mhz ram
AMD A6-Series Triple Core @ 2.1ghz (2.4ghz turbo)
320 gb HDD
Vantec UGT-S100 7.1 Channel PCI Sound Card
450W PSU
Total: $457

Let me know your thoughts/suggestions!

Is this a barebones kit or something!?  That 8400GS is totally unnecessary, the APU HD 6530D is more powerful.  1333Mhz RAM would significantly bottleneck this too, esp. if a single channel kit.  And you could get much bigger than a 320GB HDD.....

If he is going to do heavy video editing I would recommend an Nvidia Quadro, and for DJ a very good internal sound card + an external one to connect the mixer

What do you suggest for a hard drive size and ram then?

A quadro is way over our budget though,

Not to mention it won't be very "heavy duty" editing that he'll be doing.
