Netflix has posted its earnings report for Q1 of 2012, and reveals its streaming subscriber count in the US is currently 23.4 million, after reaching 21.67 million back in January. While the company noted a net loss of about $5 million, the letter from CEO Reed Hastings and CFO David Wells claimed it is still on a "rapid return" to profitability after last year's missteps and international expansions. Worldwide it now counts a total of 26 million subscribers to the streaming service, although it lost another million or so subscribers to discs, which currently number 10.09 million.

Yet for the people who want uncompressed blu-rays at their door step.. we seem to be losing content every day. Especially in the TV show/Anime department.

the lack of content that nearly made me cancel my sub (in canada) is pretty much over, but it does pain me to see a movie on a search and it say "not available", knowing that its on the service in the US.

I find it harder and harder to find movies to watch. It's still worth the cost to me since I don't have cable. The increase is shocking however, since losing starz their movie selection has suffered. Lots of TV shows to watch, however.

Compared to Amazon prime, which I also have, Netflix is MUCH better. They have much of the same TV shows, but the Amazon web search constantly flips you into the pay section.

I love the idea of Netflix but I still think their streaming selection is limited.

I've been exposed to a lot of documentaries I wouldn't have seen otherwise however so for that I really enjoy and still pay for the service. Hopefully they get to the point where new releases come faster. More TV shows would be great too.
