Oh wow that's a solid build. I'm not really a fan of ati due to a bad past experience, and was really looking to get my hands on a 680, would it be worth waiting for the 680 or snatching these 2 7950s?

Yeah sometimes you don't get it for whatever reason. I submitted a $35 MIR for Norton and I never got it back. xD

7950 xfire should wipe the floor of a 680 (and I have a 680). 7950s scale 90%+. Xfire 7950s are a better buy (price/performance) right now

no matter how much i try i could not go lower with 2 x GTX 680 in there
