What's my grip and mouse advice needed

Hi everyone I just joined this forum after reading some threads about mice.
I am a serious DotA 2 player and I'm looking for a nice mouse since my mx518 is getting old. When I bought it I didn't know a thing about mouse grips etc and I's say it's decent but I'm having some tendons pain every now and then, not sure it's mouse fault.

The first question is: what's my grip? I hold the mouse with fingertips (fingertip grip) BUT I hold it with the right side of my hand aswell (I'm right handed), mi palm, wrist and everything else is not in contact with the mouse, just the right side of my hand 50-80% of the time and my fingertips. I think this is unusual since I didnt find anything like this in the threads so far.

I liked the razer naga hex because I could use the extra keys but precision and comfort are priority, as I told you I play at a quite high level so I want to make a great buy and I'm willing to save some money for it. Thanks for your time!

Okay, it sounds like you're a precision gamer, you sit upright, and over your desk am I correct?! No slouching, just literally game-face.

If you're that sort of gamer, you're looking for a "fingertip grip" type mouse as you stated. I'd recommend:

Abyssus

G9X

And weirdly, you can use my current mouse as it fits all styles of mouse grips, but I'd recommend the MMO version!

Go to a store check them out, if you can't do that, measure your hands, and get the dimensions for the mouse. You should be fine with any of the above!

Good luck!

Also, you could be a mixture of claw and fingertip. Claw for big hauls, moving through game worlds relaxed, but when tense moments hit, you go straight to the fingertips?!

A lot of oversea players use the G100. Otherwise the WMO/Abyssus are solid choices, not many fingertip mice that I know of.

The descripion is close, but I tend to lean forward a little. I looked at the mice you suggested and at the G100 aswell. I'm looking for some high-quality and hopefully long lasting mouse so I was considering the g9x already, I'm not sure if I like the others. I came across the sensei/xai as I noticed many good dota players use these mice: what do you think about it? It looks very well made and high quality.. I guess I must forge about the extra keys, but precision and comfort are what really matters. Unless I go for a RAT MMO edition, but I'm not sure about it since I control the mouse with the extreme right part on my hand aswell.

I just bought the xai. I like it so far wish I had of bought a new one because I got a refurbished one and the lcd on the bottom is not bright. I may end up getting the sensei eventually but I dont like the glossy look. Also the xai are hard to find unless you want the medal of honor fantic version which are over priced.

The diablo 3 mouse looks close to the xai.

I don't like to recommend my own equipment, but honestly, the MMO RAT mouse fits all hand types as it is adjustable, I rest a lot of my weight to the right too, and my rat 5 is perfect for me!

My close friend just got the RAT 3 and absolutely loves it. He's more of a point and click kinda gamer too, so lots of mouse movement.

I can't recommend the RAT mice more really... They're high quality, weight, palm, pinky and thumb adjustable... Can't go wrong, if you don't like it, then you can change it to fit how you like!

Works best on a hard flat surface, I don't even use a mouse mat!
