If you did not want a small case, the Lian Li K58 is on sale for $40 and is ATX mid tower.

yup for a ITX to Any ATX the only thing you will have to change is the Motherboard and the Case and in some case the PSU too wink.gif but seriously i would recommend you my mATX build over ITX. Y ?? because in ITX you might get it small but you cant overclock you cant CFor SLi. the HDD bays and 5.25" bays are also very very limited where else in the mATX build you get all the things in it thumb.gif

I think the board is a little overkill you dont have to go with the Rog series motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131786
^ this one would do just fine
how are you going to get a unlocked cpu and no aftermarket Hsf tongue.gif
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099
also newegg has a 750gb hd for $5 more
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148702
and Id go with this psu and save on the shipping plus it was reviewed by a well known source
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182200

Imo solid build but id make the above changes and get a little more outta your dollar tongue.gif

ps I put this all in my cart on newegg (and some of the parts can be found on other sites for less as shown above)
and with shipping to my area code it came to 1,025.22

so given you can get the cpu $40 cheaper @ microcenter
and the monitor $10 cheaper @ B&H

you could knock another $50 off thumb.gif

the only way to get SLi/Xfire on that board is if you use an in win dragonslayer case with its 5 expansion slot configuration. otherwise you'd need a mid tower case instead of mATX case.

This may be true but lets consider this how long would it be before he would need to go xfire to keep up with games and if he can afford another card at that time and space is not a premium then he could also get a better maybe slighly larger case

p.s. the price difference also gets him a aftermarket Hsf and 250gb more storage

if he was going to use just 1 card, he can go with ITX and have a much smaller system... (which was his original request)

no grunges or so but if that motherboards is a overkill you think ? then whaqt would you call this motherboard here or this
buddy that motherboard which you told does not even have a decent VRM setup just a 6 Phase setup i would minimum recommend a 8+4Phase setup and that motherboard does not support CF/SLi rolleyes.gif
other then that the cooler is good no doubt but for that price this is better
HDD 1+ 750GB for 5$ extra y not go for it thumb.gif
and lastly the PSU yup thats a good and a very decent PSU buddy BUT the Antec has some better AMPs on the +12V and is overall better for 55$ i can say tongue.gif
