Why are dell alienware charging more to configure the 675m than the 7970m in their systems then?

When the 6990M was released the GTX 580M cost $300 more... then they cut the price.

why is sager charging more for the 7970m?

Lol alot of price confusion maybe alienware are just nvidia fanboy's they always charge more for the nvidia options tongue.gif
Hmmm seriously considering selling my pc and laptop and grabbing an m17x-r4 with a 7970m.
Probally pointless since my desktop has a 6970 in it which is basicly the same thing, but but the freedom of a laptop! tongue.gif

Fully enabled Pitcairn core is pretty awesome. Won't ever buy a laptop with this much power but it seems pretty neat.

I thought Pitcairn XT would be the 7990M? Will Tahiti LE be the 7990M?
I seriously didn't expect this.

A 7870 downlocked is pretty impressive. But100W is way too much, lol....Most laptops consume less than 65W total.

/off topic

Dell doesn't let you get a 120HZ 1080p panel unless you have an Nvidia card..... And the upgrade from 7970m -> GTX675m is $150.

Some serious issues with these configurations.

and the problem is the 6990m is now faster than the GTX580m after all the drivers fixes and still its more expensive, and alienware are just some nvidia fanatics that thinks is just faster
