[YT] Crysis 3 gameplay trailer - Page 4

Can someone explain why we play as Prophet again? And the guy in the trailer sounds a lot like the Prophet Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
who blew his head up with a pistol
.

Unless it's another case of mistaken identity, I don't see how this makes any sense.

Crysis works best when its realistic and more believable (Like crysis 1 but before aliens showed up)
Believable huh? Then you should quit gaming forever because they are not meant to be like that.

Crysis one had Tropics. This is Dark Jungles. Completely different.

Yes people are definitely way too hard to satisfy. Crysis 2 was a great game, and so was the first one. So what if they aren't exactly the same? Crysis 2 had better environments as far as I'm concerned, because the jungle was nice in the first one for a bit, but looking at trees got old after a while. I like the idea of Crysis 3 combining elements/environments from 1 + 2. It's going to be a nice variety. Experimenting with a new weapon (bow) seems like it should be pretty cool, since it's obviously got a futuristic spin to it. The trailer does look a bit better than Crysis 2 so I'm hoping it gives my 680s a workout, they're starting to gain weight! biggrin.gif And fighting the aliens just makes sense since that's how the story progressed. Are we going to go back to fighting North Koreans after aliens got out and started destroying the planet? No.

If you just listen to the trailer you would swear it was BF3 with LAZORZ! It looks beautiful though.

Not really. Most of us on this forum have built our own computers. Can a console gamer say that, hmmm no. A console has Sony or Microsoft or some such stupid label.

My computer is a BOB. Best Buy doesn't sell them.

We know crap when we see it. Crytec should just close their doors. Fire everyone and get out from underneath EA's corporate thumb.
EA and creativity do not belong in the same sentence. It should read ea, profit, copy and paste.

No, just the minority on forums such as these. To the rest of the normal world, the game will be great.

I quite enjoyed, 1. Very much enjoyed 2, Will likely enjoy 3 as well. I'm not picky, games are meant for entertainment and nothing more. Graphics mean nothing to me, story partially means something, but for the most part, I just enjoy killing stuff.

***? There are plenty of realistic or belieaveble games like bf , cod, arma.

What I meant was Crysis(only) works best if your shooting at humans, soldiers w/e, because crysis games tend to have a more realistic feel to it, so when aliens showed up i lost interest.

Crysis 1 was great up to the point that aliens showed up. So boring.

Not when you know what it's like to be in a real world combat situation thumb.gif

They purposely have to make games such as those unrealistic and unbelievable because if they made them realistic, no one would want to play them.

no wonder developers are shying away from making PC exclusives like Crysis 1. listen to all of u. we are single handedly killing out own industry as far as gaming cause some people are never satisfied. y'all hype about crysis 3 then see a teaser trailer then now all of a sudden its garbage?? its not always about how purdyy a tree looks its about how it plays and the story. I loved the first crysis, and yes even the 2nd one. I will be buying the 3 as well.

PS. if u don't like a game don't just bash it on a forum. write a review about it. maybe then developers would hear all the complaints and maybe do something about it instead of senceless whining on forums about a trailer that apparently makes it seem like u have played the whole game.

*sigh*

The main problem most people have with the 2nd game is that it almost in no way links to the original. The aliens look completely different, there is no clue to what happened to Nomad and Psycho. And the NKA - what happened to them? Are we supposed to assume they were completely wiped out after the events of Crysis 1? What happened to their nano-suit technology? If the original nano-suits were derived from alien tech (which is what we are told in Crysis 2), how did the koreans manage to make copies in the first place? What actually happened to Prophet on that island when he went back?

I honestly believed that an urban environment for Crysis 2 was a great idea, but when you compare the vast openness and the subtle but drastic differences in play styles you can choose from, Crysis 2 comes across as a very basic, linear FPS game with a gimmicky nano-suit, which also IMO just didnt feel as good as the nano-suit did in Crysis 1.

Maybe you should play the 2nd game or, if like me, it was unbearable to play, watch the ending on youtube.
