Hey guys,

I've recently upgraded to a GTX570 SLI rig. I'm running a Cooler Master 750watt PSU along with a i5 2500K. When I had 1 GPU, the PSU would hum but not so much. Now with the SLI setup, its crazy loud when playing BF3! All the other fans in the system are nowhere close to the annoyance.

Whats the best and quietest PSU I can buy for my needs?

Some Kingwin Lazer Platinum would be best, but Seasonic X750 is on sale for $120 so I'd just get that instead.

At typical pricing, a lot of people would still (incorrectly?) recommend Seasonic X Series, even though there is usually better pricing on something else that's as suitable or more.

I guess I shot myself in the foot, wan't able to get the X750 last week, so the price went back to $150.

I saw a X850 and X1050 on newegg for about $200, would it be worth it to just buy one of those or should I still wait for the X750 to go on sale again?

Dang that sucks! There are other great quiet psu's out there though! My Hx 650 is extremely quiet. I would also recommend the AX gold series.

Nice! Would it be safe to say that if I get a higher wattage PSU, would my noise levels be quieter? (or does it really matter on wattage?)

I was looking at the box of the AX750 and noticed that the Db levels increase with load on the PSU (more usage of wattage)

The AX750 is a nice deal for $145 (with discount code)

BUT I must know if it will be silent with 2 GTX 570s running BF3......I dont mind spending more, just want the quietest operation for gaming.

I'd just grab the Corsair AX750 and call it a day. I have Corsair PSU's in all 3 of my rigs around the house and never have they caused any problems. Noise is not a problem either
