Batman: Arkham City DX11 isues.

hello guys...

I know, I am not going to tell you that I have a problem in this and want a solution, I know that there has been a patch for this released...

but my problem is with installing the patch itself, that when I try to download it throughout the DLC, I can't bypass the proxy (some websites are blocked here in Syria) so I don't know how to get that patch ??

isn't there a way to get a standalone installer and then install it manually ??

I really wish to play the game without losing the DX11 features !!

the game is horribly stuttering with DX11...

I have been searching Google for the whole morning, to no avail... so I ended to my tech home, here...

best regards.

The DX11 in this game is completely ridiculous, I couldn't play it with neither my 5850 or my 560ti. It was terribly stuttery either way. I can't imagine you can play this game on DX11 with anything less than a 7970 or GTX680. I've tried different drivers and all of that, but a little bit of research shows that it's just how the game is. You don't even need to go past the menu for the game to know that it's not going to work.

yes, you're right, I read about this...

this is the second time I play this game, in the first time, I really struggled, to finish the game, and in spite of the DX11 problems, I just insisted to play it on DX11, so I just want to try the fix and see what happens, I won't get surprised if the fix didn't change a thing, that I read about some guys haven't had the game fixed even with the update, (I read there was no update for the 32-bit versions of Windows).

but anyway, I will give it a try and see.

and my graphics drivers are the most up to date one.

will see if overclocking my card helps in this also.

I will report back about this later. smile.gif

it seems like there are some problems installing it !!

that's what I got in the LOG file when I launched the "setup.exe" file from the compressed update file I downloaded (sure I extracted it later)

( Launching Title Update: "D:\Games\Batman- Arkham City\Batman Arkham City\tu10000083_10000183\Content\setup.exe" /selflaunch
Could not get ARPINSTALLLOCATION property from MSI with product code {57520FA0-AC56-469B-9983-FF1000008300}. This property must have been set using a custom action. HR:0x00000000
Could not find game install folder
To manually set folder, run: "D:\Games\Batman- Arkham City\Batman Arkham City\tu10000083_10000183\Content\setup.exe" /f ""
)

I searched about this, and it seems like some other people had the same problem installing the standalone update file !

DX11 is non-functional for all setups. Just pretend it isn't there; the game looks great in DX9 anyway. There are some DX11 titles it puts to shame.
