Just got one of these off Amazon for £24.99! Couldn't resist as it was a bargain compared to the price of £49.99 everywhere else. Hopefully it'll be here tomorrow and I will post what I think of the mouse thumb.gif

How on earth did you manage that, was it a lightning deal or something? Massively Jealous tongue.gif

Edit: Just noticed the used option, I'm guessing it was one of those??

No, it wasn't used! It was from AireTech IT who have a section on Amazon too. There was only 1 available for this price though, I've no idea how it was available so cheap but I contacted them to make sure it was new. I guess I was just lucky, but keep an eye out!

Oh fair play that's lucky! You'll have to let us know how you find the mouse when you get it thumb.gif

So tomorrow i will go to the shop so they can see the mouse scroll wheel. So what should i do if they accept the mouse? Change it for a new one or change for another component? They don't do refunds so i have to grab something from the shop.... Opinions are welcome smile.gif

AFAIK they will not refund or exchange your mouse since the 'issue' your'e having is very normal and natural - scrollwheels encoder tend to be looser after time or may be more noisy. theres no Warranty which covers a normal-mouse-Behavior.

With that said, seems like the newer batch of the Savu's has overall better scrollwheel (removed some gap so it will be less noisy)

Lo avinin1 smile.gif

Thanks for your reply, t i understand you explanation and i thank you for it, but i can't agree with it, so let me explain. For an expert (or a very interested person on electronics/pc components), maybe this is an known issue and a normal one. For me just an enthusiast on pc components, not an expert, i didn't know this issue with scroll wheel, because if i knew about it i would stay with my no. 1 choice, Deathadder smile.gif and i wouldn't give it a try.
This thread have 21 pages and from what i know( i've been reading to keep myself updated everyday almost everypost on here smile.gif ) no one has ever mention this problem.
For a normal gamer like me, i just want to go to a shop and grab a new mouse and do some tests, (personal ones), to see if it fits better on my hand, if i like tracking of it, it's weight etc.. the scroll wheel is a no go for me...it's almost like bad tracking or a mouse with a high lod that can't be fixed...
Like you said the scroll wheel will get loose with use, so from what i can understand, there's a probability that it can brake? (like it happened with kone for ex?), and i don't click with it, just use it like a scroll wheel.....
Btw i'm still saying that's a great mouse, very nice buttons (top and side), if you tape fix it than it becomes a dream mouse.
It's shape it's just a matter of a couple of days and your hand gets used to it.

If they change it for me, should i keep it? or change it for another mouse? (current mouse DABE)

Sorry for the long text, and thank you for your help smile.gif

As for the scrollwheel getting looser - its not exclusive to the Savu, every scrollwheel will be looser after time. its just, the specific scrollwheel mechnic the Savu has in it (ALPS branded) tends to be more noisy compered to anothers's mice scrollwheel's encoders.

My Deathadder 3500 which is 3 years old has it scrollwheel bugged (automatically scrolls up after you scroll it down) - encoder fail. as I said, it can happens with every mouse.

sure! you better keep it if its fits and you like it!

but As I said, the new ships of savus have less noisy/"fixed" scrollwheels, so if you can you better full refund yours and wait for the newer savu's if the scrollwheel is really dealbreaker for you

Lo avinin1,

Once again thanks for your help. smile.gif +rep
Is there a way to know if the mice are from the new batch of scroll wheel fix? (Like Logitech G400 serial number)?
Thank you:)

EDIT: for the full refund the shop don't do it... you have to change it for another product or trade for the same product... and i don't think they'll ask for a new savu for me, because last time i was on the shop they had like 4 or 5 of them tongue.gif
