Yes, unused xai and zowieAM shells. tongue.gif It feels overall awesome!

Edit: What i really like about it, it makes no sounds when shake it. Not that the Savu makes some, but its cool! Feels solid like a stone. I think this method (bottom out of original) has potential.

My work is complete. Its a wmo-switch i built in as mouse4/button10. Similar to the savu sideswitches, though around 50% less preasure needed to activate it.

There is a ±5 sensitivity option (not Windows pointer speed) which should be able to accomplish the same thing. 1600 -3 is the same as 800 CPI for example. 1600 -4 is probably closer to 600 CPI.
The saphira and the spawn can adjust sensibility in steps of 100 cpi. I don´t think they use interpolation since you can track count per count in enotus.

they do this via interpolation in firmware as there is no srom that offers those steps.

I think Enotus just seems to calculate DPI by counting the number of pixels moved and dividing that by 10cm. It then rounds to the nearest 200 DPI - a measurement of 101 DPI is reported as 200, and a measurement of 300 is reported as 400 DPI.

I am not entirely convinced of these results as I've never used it before, but I ran Enotus at all DPI settings with different sensitivity settings. Note: I would not recommend raising sensitivity above 0 - I only did that to show what was reported, as 0 seemed to be lower than the specified DPI. I made a note of DPI to the nearest 10 rather than the nearest 200 that Enotus reports when you let go of the button.

Any values interpolated down should be fine, but interpolating up loses precision. I don't believe the mice you list are using hardware 100 CPI steps, but software CPI steps. Have you actually seen measurements from these mice to see if the steps are accurate? I don't think the ADNS-3090 can be addressed in 100 step adjustments.

Anyone have suggestions for a mouse pad / surface for the Savu? Artisan mouse pads are to high in my opinion. Any ideas?

Hey guys,

My Savu got delivered today and Im really happy with it. It tracks great and feels great in the hand and the rough sides are actually really nice. The software is also surprisingly well done.

I have a few newb questions that Im hoping you guys might be able to answer. I assuming that its always best to have the polling rate at 1000Hz and adjust the dpi down as preferred?

Is it a good idea to have the dpi as high as possible and adjust the sensitivity down or the opposite?

Whats the difference between adjusting the sensitivity and the windows pointer speed? Its one adjusting it at the hardware level at the mouse and the other doing it at the software level in windows?

Cheers
