New Roccat Savu optical mouse. - Page 70

I love my Savu, but lately I have been having issues with him disconnecting and reconnecting from time to time. Any tips of what might be wrong? I guess that it is the cable, but anything I can do.

Has anybody had the Easy Shift function stop working? I've had this mouse for about 9 months or so, and today Easy Shift just won't work. I installed the setup application again and tried assigning other functions, and nothing. I tried assigning the other side button to ES, and nothing. The buttons themselves work fine if I map something else (like back/forward) to them, but they just won't activate ES for some reason.

I installed Windows 10 recently, but it was working afterwards so I don't think that's the problem.

EDIT: well, actually they won't get anything assigned to them. I guess the memory is just gone. It's a good thing I like the default settings.

Do you think that Savu might be good for someone who has around 17.5 - 18.5 cm hands? I like to palm my mouse, but sometimes see that I change my grip like instead of my fingers resting on the surface.. I curl my two fingers so it looks a bit like I'm using a soft claw grip although I'm still palming it, kind of. I guess that's hybrid.

I had The KPM and it was a bit too flat, and perhaps a little on small side, just a little. http://imgur.com/a/7DQW6 <-- picture of me holding Zowie EC2-A if it helps just a bit . As you can see my palm is kinda to the small size? but my fingers are long frown.gif And yeah in every mice my pinky is dragging on the mousepad (which really isn't an issue for me)

I think the Savu will fill your hand nicely, as it feels higher than ec2 and way higher than kpm. Savu has a specific shape, which you need to like. For example, the thumb side is slanted / | the sides are a bit like that.

Also, it needs a specific mousepad. Other than that, it's very good.

There's no way to palm Savu if your hands are longer than 16 cm. With ~18 cm hands, I hold my Savu with fingertip and Savu at ~45 degrees or claw\fingertip hybrid only.

My hands are 18.5 / 19 cm and I palm my Savu just fine. I don't put my entire hand on it, the bottom of my palm is on the mousepad and I push the mouse entirely in my hand. It is filled up completely and there is room to spare for my fingers at the front end thumb.gif I guess your idea of a palm is holding your hand so that it doesn't touch the mousepad?

Well there is two kind of palm grips. One where part of your hand is dragging on the mouse pad, and then second one where your entire palm is on the mouse. The only mouse that used to fill my entire palm was SideWinder X8 (god how I miss that mouse) . But yeah cause of my long fingers it's really hard to palm mice completely. If Savu is by length same as Zowie EC2-A then the lower part of my palm would drag on the mouse pad.

Well I'll be receiving by the end of this week Mionix Castor, and then in 1,5 weeks Asus Strix Claw Dark Edition. And it seems I have to wait a bit longer until there's some more Roccat Savu's in stock. if I keep collecting mice at this rate I can make my own PC mouse store.

Since Roccat Savu has a bit bigger butt than Zowie EC2-A ... I think I might be able to palm it a bit better. I appreciate for taking the time to tell me about how it fits to 17-18cm hands. Would make it even more superb if you could provide a pic of it too.

if I can't properly palm Roccat Savu, then I think I would try to see if I can claw it. Sometimes I just have problems clawing gaming mouse, since my pinky doesn't fit anywhere on mice, so it's been always either stuck against nameless finger(if that's what it's called on the left side of pinky) or then it just drags on the mouse pad.

Yeah, I consider full hand on mouse as a palm grip. Pictures (Click to show)

Sorry to revive a kind of old thread.

I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend good pads that work well with the Savu.
I know personally Razer Goliathus Control/Speed(slightly worse though) + Artisan Hayate + Roccat Taito
Edit: + steelseries qck+
I don't really like these pads cause they are too narrow vertically.

Any other mousepad that u can recommend?

Thanks for all opinions
