I read it too. But with the amount of people playing daily is not enough to maintain what they have.
Too many servers to help, they need to combine them to increase the population as that will help players not feel bored or empty.
Kinda hard to do anything, when your the only one on a planet.

The server I was on went from nicely populated to sparsely populated in two months and is probably a ghost town now, so meh on corporate propaganda.

I call BS. I am no longer a subscriber, as I know many others have taken similar action. I know for a fact that they lost people after the first month. I would love for them to show data that they have no lost paying subs. Every game as a spike of initial intrest bubble, to say that you are immune to this is illogical, and goes against all precendent. If they are telling the truth, they need to be given a metal for the most amazing sales and marketing staff ever.

I bet the openings of the game in other regions has probably caused the number of subs to stay relatively the same or even increase.

Speaking with PC Gamer, BioWare's Daniel Erickson said that SWTOR numbers were holding steady.

I always wondered what happen to that Iraqi minister of information.

To make an MMO successful you have to have fun combat (which SWTOR lacks IMO) and good late game progression (which SWTOR also lacks). I got two characters to 50, then called it quits, it just wasn't fun enough late game for me.

exactly, they should have made it the same(same story, different classes/races/ sides) but kept it a single player game.

I'v been playing since 4 days before official launch and I still love it. Having a good guild will make or break MMO's. Our guild has been growing faster in the past 2 weeks then it has since launch, though we are on one of the more populated servers.
