When you say ATI do you mean crossfire or just a single card solution?

Cause if it is a single card then I would go with the Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi - Price: £134.99 (£158.61 Including VAT at 17.5%) on Overclockers.co.uk Best C2D Board you can get IMO or the DFI Infinity 975X (Price: £119.99 (£140.99 Including VAT at 17.5%))

If not and you are needing crossfire board I would reccomend Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X(Price: £129.99 (£152.74 Including VAT at 17.5%) )

Hope this helps

yeah i will be doing crossfire so would be best also the broad has to be good for overclocking and major mods to it in the future...

so this means its has to be a reliable board and wont break down if i add watercooling etc...

Your only oci slot will be covered by a dual slot cooler if you are using crossfire. So if you want to use a nice soundcard or PPU then you will be out of luck untill someone makes pcie x1 PPUs and Soundcards.

I still want the abit board though. this is the only thing holding me back at the moment

The P5W DH is a Crossfire board, so it would be a good choice if you need the additional PCI slot since, as mentioned, the ABIT has it's only one blocked in dual card configuration.
