Help me choose a 24IN Monitor

Thread Starter
Hi,

I want to change my 6 years old Samsung 22IN monitor for a new one. I will use it as a main monitor for my Asus G74Sx Laptop, the notebook's 17IN Display being my secondary monitor. I will play games with the monitor.

Here are some models I'm thinking about. I'm Canadian, so prices are in $CAD.

ASUS VS248H-P 185$
This one would be my first choice. There are some complains about ghosting..., 2MS

Samsung S24A300B 215$
No HDMI, Complains about the stand (doesn't tilt), 5MS

BenQ EW2420 180$
No HDMI, 8MS...

LG E2411T-BN 172$ (On sale from NCIX)
No HDMI, 5MS,

LG IPS236V 190$ (80$ off on NCIX)
It's a 23IN IPS, 5MS, Has HDMI

Should i get the IPS from LG ? Even if it's 23 IN, does IPS really worth it ?
My 2 first choices would be the LG IPS236V @ 190$ and the ASUS VS248H-P @ 185$
And what about 10M:1 vs 5M:1 ?? Big difference ?

What do you think ??

Thank you smile.gifsmile.gif

Don't bother with the LG IPS monitor the back light bleeding is hard to avoid. Some people get lucky and get a monitor without it but that is very unlikely. If you are interested in IPS you should check out Dell's selection. I personally only use ips monitors but i spend 10+ hours a day in front of one.
