Recommend a Good Monitor

Thread Starter
Okay I'm in the market to purchase a new monitor.

Couple things to get started I have a EVGA GTX 680 and will be buying another one soon for SLI.

Anyways I am looking to spend anywhere from $200-$350ish for the monitor.

I've seen hearing all sorts of things between TN and IPS and I haven't really made up my mind.

I play FPS games but I am not super hardcore so I don't need to have one of the best monitors but something that will suffice for decent gaming and movie watching.

Looking for something in the 22-25 inch screen size. I do not want anything 27 or anything larger.

Preferably a 1920x1080 or 1920x1200.

I do live in the East Coast U.S.

Any recommendations?

I've seen lots of good recommendations for the Dell UltraSharp lines. However, they don't have HDMI which isn't too bad but usually a tad overpriced and takes too long for it to arrive. (3-4 weeks in my location)

I've also seen lots of recommendation for the ASUS PA Series 238Q but heard lots of bleeding and lots of RMA due to excessive bleeding and dead pixels.

the dell ultrasharp series is great:

the 24 inch one is 299.99

the 23 inch one is 199.99

you can decide if the extra inch is worth $100

199.99 is a steal for the U2312HM

i did notice you didnt want 27 inches or over 2560 because otherwise i would have recommended a catleap but yeah..

those are the best you can get for your budget.

i guess another one id recommend is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236153&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-Monitors%20-%20LCD%20Flat%20Panel-_-ASUS-_-24236153&AID=10440897&PID=3938566&SID=

friend has one and its really nice.
