Oh boy..i dont know what i did this time...And pardon me posting here, but this is the best place on the net no doubt..Plus people actually care and answr in a timely fashion..

This morning i wanted to burn three seperate dvds while at work from my home build through Logmein...

So i loaded up a disc in each of my burners, one an LG newer Bd burner, the other a brand new Ihas..

Then, something ive never done, was plug in my usb dvd burner in this pc (never needed to)
and i get to work and convertxtodvd reports errror on each one!!! I FREAKED,and have been here uninstalling different stuff and nothing is working..I have a weird feeling the registry changed or something...ive tried different microsft self fixes to no avail...

SURELY not all my burners dies at once did they???sad-smiley-002.gif

What error did convertxtodvd report? I used that software once upon a time (a long time ago) and occassionally I'd get a bad conversion, and it was either the fault of the software or the burner itself. Did you try reducing the burn speed? That tends to fix most errors in general.

Secondly, are the blank DVDs you are using of good quality? I purchased a 100 spindle of blank DVDs of some no-name brand, and I'd say 15 out of the 100 had defects in the manufacturing process, and I could see little black dots and other imperfections within the burning zone of the DVDs.

If your burners can still read and play media, I doubt your burners are all fried
