Something is being done, this specific change is just something we CAN do as of right now. Unfortunately, finding a Spam Slater / fighting tool isn't as easy as you think it is. All I have heard is, there is one in development that will do exactly what we want and need it to do, without any false positives due to it being too aggressive.

When will it be finished? That's something you'll need to direct to Chipperoo if he has any details he can share.

I'm not saying it's easy or "get this done yesterday" but what I am saying is that stopping the spam bots from making accounts should be a top priority. I see lots of suggestions or bugs get labeled as of trivial importance and the only way I can accept that is if something like stopping the spam bots is a high priority.

I see what you're saying, but the spam bots aren't really doing anything that's hindering the functionality of the site, so the bugs / issues that are remain a higher priority.

Well there must be something that has a high priority around here but I know I've sure not seen it. rolleyes.gif
