Yeah, I'll keep this thread more focused on the controllers. I can justify the CPU and GPU plates as they are hooked up to the controllers for LEDs.

Other stuff will go in the Rig Build thread in my signature. I haven't really posted there much as I've been mostly focused on this stuff.

I'll still post any updates on the controllers here and try to answer questions. Probably do a series of posts on the software and features haven't really covered that very much.

Got the GPU plate cleaned up a bit and painted on the back side, same procedure, first white then black.

This is how I plan to place the LEDs, I'll make some 0.5mm holes for the LEDs on the back and glue them in and then solder some thin wires on and connect it to one of the controllers.

Sure, if you can carry it, it's damn heavy and wont go out the door unless you disassemble it first biggrin.gif

Just did some small 0.5mm deep holes for where I'm going to glue the LEDs in:

It's the same square RGB LEDs I'm using in the CPU plate, but placed in a different way.

The soldering will take some concentration, hope I don't burn my fingers too much redface.gif

as i see you too like to burn your fingers while soldering biggrin.gif i went into some real obstackles in jog to use small cnc we have there, had plans to make a cpu wb block smile.gif

I think a CPU water block would be pretty hard to make, also I think you would need some kind of circular saw to make the little fins in the middle.

Anyway, work in progress, pretty hard to solder those little LEDs, I need to do a test as well, not sure how much the voltage drop is on each, I might need to do 2 strings in parallel for 12v

Haven't burnt any fingers yet biggrin.gif (but I probably will now that I just said that)

im thinking on CNC'ing a some kind of S channel or go with spiral to middle, but this cnc we have cant do a round edges smile.gif

Just checked the voltage drop on the LEDs, it's so high for blue that I think I'll need to do 3 strings in parallel to get good light on any color.

So I guess back to soldering...
