for those that thought the manual released by valve was fake and that it was impossible for a company to run like that, this article confirms that Valve management is flat.

Another thing that should be good about gaming with linux is that although windows isn't terribly bad, I generally get the impression that when in game the background os in linux is silent and will never stall, stutter or interrupt what im doing it is fairly organised and perhaps in some cases quite simple compared with windows, peaceful is the word. With windows i feel like my obligatory virus checker is updating, checking every godamn file, windows is talking all over the place over network for updates and pre-fetching, indexing, process are vying for attention, there is the potential for other random **** to happen and generally i don't always get that solid stable feeling compared with console gaming where you know the game will just play the same EVERY time.

I am really looking forward to this even if its a steady migration smile.gif

Linux Steam is a unicorn. I'll eat my shoe when it actually releases.

Gabe Newell said there are employees and he working on Linux in an interview. People did not think Valve would make Steam for Mac neither.

Linux was "in development" long before there was even rumors for Mac.
