AMD made something newer that was worse than the older technology..gemerally the idea is to make something better..i think headscratch.gif
For what you're wanting to do..960T would be plenty..it may unlock cores, too. wink.gif

Wrong, I'm clocked at 4.5 and I'm beating the 1055T in most benchmarks.

You want a dedicated processor?? huh..

Dude the A8 smokes everything you have talked about.. You originally wanted the FX-6100 to game with?? you are going to spend $150 bucks for CPU only.. another $110 for your GPU. That is Half your budget, so you would be looking at $600 minimum for a setup running those two items.

Either you need to ramp up your budget or tell us more about what you want to do with your computer. (be specific)

The setup I have suggested is in your price range and would kill all the games you have mentioned. Plus will run BF3 at higher settings than you said you wanted.

Give us more info than!

You can do the 6670

http://www.amd.com/us/products/technologies/dual-graphics/pages/dual-graphics.aspx#3

Where did you get the 6550 information??

I have posted the link with the 3 GPU's that AMD recommends

Thanks

can be paired with

I personally always wanted to build a llano gaming rig just to try it out but i doubt it would compare to current setup(which is slowly getting out dated....)

good luck with your build though, It will be hard to build a decent rig for 400-500 bucks

from what Ive found matching the gpu side of the apu gives the best performance the A8 3850 has a 6550 in it and a 6570 card can be used but the syteem will down graded the 6570 to a 6550
