go to xda, more specifically the vibrant section.

look at all the vibrant specific sections, and read all of the stickies.

Also, make sure you have the original vibrant (t959) and not the galaxy s 4g (t959v).

Googling is a useful still to have, and is highly recommended for situations as outlined.

If you're inherently lazy:

I am running ICS 4.0.4 on my Samsung Captivate which is very similar to the vibrant but like the above poster said, make sure you have the 3g version of the Vibrant.

Here is the link to the Cyanogen Mod 9 Vibrant page... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1575170

You will need to have gingerbread bootloaders installed on your phone. Use odin to flash a CWM compatible kernel. Reboot into recovery, load the ROM on the internal SD, and flash away. If you get a boot loop just use the button combo to get back into CWM recovery and flash again. Sometimes ICS doesn't like to be flashed from an older CWM version.

Are you familiar with how to flash custom ROM's. If not then you have quite a bit of reading/research to do before you jump into ICS.
