i am going to be experimenting with overclock once i get my enermax ETS T-40, but right now i am running my 8120 @ 3.61ghz on all cores, with turbocore off @ 1.225 vcore, which is lower than my had the vcore at by default, so i find this to give me a lot of headroom, i just don't wanna push it without proper cooling, i will however do my best to update you on whatever findings i get when i get my cooler, sadly i am out of the US, so it will probably be a few weeks

temps are usually 31c idle/51c load with prime95, in real loads like folding, i usually don't go over 46c, and that is with my fans in silent mode for idle, and standard for prime, and a custom in between standard and silent for folding and gaming, etc

I have the M5A97 W/ FX-8120 O.C. to 3.965Ghz on stock air cooling.. Idles @ 37C & Loads @ 52C, I have very good air flow through computer with 5X120mm Fans in a Thermaltake v2 Case.

I plan on grabbing a water cooler & 1600Mhz Ram to push even farther.

I don't think you would need more than 3.8Ghz-4Ghz for this CPU, as it performs well at these speeds. Almost Squeezing out 1000Mhz on stock heat sink is really awesome! thumb.gif

-Thread is old, But thought I'd add in some info about my experience for others searching this setup-
