processors only work or they dont. theres no grey area. if your processor failed your computer wouldnt have even booted at all. did you rma the asus board? that gigabyte board is a great board. its very solid and stable. my system rocks with it.

I haven't yet but I will. I got a friend of a friend to take a look at the mobo (he works in a store that fixes PC components and such) and he said the DIMM slots were messed up. I told him that I hadn't tried changing the timings/voltages on the Memory so he said I should be good to go on sending the board back where I got it.

He even told me he can give them a call and explain the DIMM slot dealy-o to the store.
