I bought a case with power-supply.. for my HTPC.. it doesn't have the 8 pin. but has the 4... is there a adapter for the power supply... any thoughts?

I'm assuming you need to connect an 8pin to your MB for your CPU and that your PSU only has a 4pin? If so, you can use the link below.

The 4 pin will work fine for a HTPC, the extra 4 pins provide more for more stability when using quad or more core CPUs or when running high overclocks.

This.

As long as you don't overclock, or do some SERIOUS apps, you'll be OK with just the 4-pin.

uhhh wow..... i dont think you quite under stand what a power supply does.

it will run fine with a 4 pin just try to keep your cpus power consumption below 120watts and you wont melt anything.

G530 is wonderful, I run it in my HTPC on another 4-pin mobo and no problems.

The board is so small, there isn't enough demand from the 24-pin, which is just led to the CPU
