Can someone please help me?

Thread Starter
I've got a Samsung RC530 with a NVIDIA 540m 2GB, i7 2670qm and 6GB RAM.

The problem is, with every game that I've tried, the framerate does not stay the same. It can go from 60 fps to 25, then back to 40 then 50 in a matter of 5 seconds. I've tried lowering the graphics in order to gain some balance, but with no result.

I know that this change is not related to rendering objects or ambients, because it has happened before in the same spot on a game.

I've even tried to overclock the GPU a bit, but even if I overclock it 5%, the system hangs and freezes as soon as I open a game.

Can anyone tell me what I should do?

Thank you

Yeah so? That's normal. Frame rates vary.

About GPU overclocking, never done it on a laptop, not sure.

Yes I know it is, but this variation is a bit more than I've encontered in my past laptops. It varies between 60 fps to 25 fps in a matter of seconds, and without any reason, and that's quite distracting : \

I'm quite sattisfied with my Pc, I can't argue, but this inconvinience kinda saddens me.

Like he said, it's normal. If you want to test to see if there's something wrong with the actual system, open up a single player shooting game and look at the wall. Frame rates should stay approximately the same. If they do, what you're experiencing is normal.
If they still jump everywhere, you should clean your OS with something like ccleaner and perform a couple of virus scans.
